Mathematics
Aims
In keeping with students’ stages of development, we aim to:
- raise students who answer to the needs of society and of individuals,
- raise students who can invent ways of thinking that help to solve problems,
- raise students who can use knowledge and skills gained in mathematics class to solve problems in daily life,
- raise students who can develop their critical and creative thinking abilities,
- raise students who display a positive attitude towards mathematics,
- ensure students correctly use the four main arithmetical operations,
- ensure that students love mathematics,
- contemporarise concepts and problems,
- encourage students to research,
- help students develop their logical thinking abilities,
- encourage students to find different solution methods by using the stages of problem-solving,
- help students develop the ability to evaluate and apply what they have learnt,
- ensure students recognise mathematical instruments and can use them correctly,
- raise our school’s mathematics education standards,
- be tidy, careful, and patient in studies,
- develop aesthetic sensibilities in students.
